Gijón continues to commemorate the two thousandth anniversary of the death of the Emperor Augustus. While a few weeks ago the city’s archaeological museums organized a week of events and activities to commemorate this historic date, this time the celebrations will be held jointly along with other partner municipalities associated with the Via de la Plata Route, one of the most attractive cultural itineraries in Europe.
Want to know what Gijón has in store? A new detailed map of the route will be presented, there will be open houses at the archaeological museums and a contest on Facebook for all those who join in the celebration of this first edition of Via de la Plata Day.
