From the 21st to the 27th of July Gijón will hold the Atlantic Arc Festival, a cultural and commerce commercial project that aims to disseminate the cultural heritage ofº the countries that participate in it.
Each year a country will be the main figure of the edition, being Portugal the one for 2012.
The festival will take place during those days on different locations of the city, with many activities focused on different people.
The official opening will be in the Jovellanos Theatre on Saturday the 21st at 8:30 p.m. starring the Simphonic Orchestra and White Voices Chorus from Gijón’s Proffesional Conservatory of Music.
The bases in which the Atlantic Arc Festival is based are:
Dance and theatre, literature, audio-visual arts, traditional culture, music, sea, nature and countries and cities from the Atlantic Arc.
