Citizens and visitors could have the opportunity to see live cooking different international chefs like David Ibarboure (Briketenia restaurant, Ghétary, France), José Avillez (Belcanto, Lisbon), Jesús Sánchez (El Cenador de Amós, Cantabria), Josean Martinez Alija (Nerua, Bilbao), Kevin Thornton (Thornton Restaurant, Dublin), Marcelo Tejedor (Casa Marcelo, Santiago), Marcos Morán (Casa Gerardo, Prendes) or Nacho Manzano (Casa Marcial, Arriondas).
This event will take place on the scenery located at Plaza Mayor the 24th and 26th of July from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.. It is a different outdoor experience for gastronomy lovers, all for free.
At the same time, 65 establishments will collaborate with specific menus: 30 restaurants, 20 wine shops, 15 delicatessen stores will offer products from Ireland, England and France, and also from the Cantabric and Atlantic regions of Spain and Portugal.
Restaurants will also offer specific menus with products like Santoña anchovies, Jurançon Foiegras, cheeses like Paulin, Camembert, Mimolette, Pont-lévêque, Livarot, Idiazábal, Cabrales, Gamonéu, Cheddar or Stilton, stews like cassoulet, “verdinas” or “Cocido Montañés”, or oysters from Galicia, Asturias, Arcachon or Cancale.
To drink, there will be different possibilities like wines from Rias Baixas, Rioja Alavesa, Burdeos or Loira, Asturian and Breton ciders, Irish and English beers…
There will totally be more than 50 different dishes to taste the typical gastronomy of the Atlantic Region. There are menus under two prices: 25 and 45 euros, drinks included.
Wine shops will offer thematic dishes of sausages, preserved food, cheeses, omelettes or pate. These thematic dishes will cost 12 euros.
Delicatessens offer 10% discounts on Arc Atlantic products, promoting gastronomy products of this region.
