Everyone has time to spend with their families and take part in events and activities for children designed exclusively for them. They will certainly not get bored in Gijón, as on 3 December they can have fun at the “Xugando cola toponimia”workshop. This is an amusing, free workshop that allows participants to learn more about the borough of Gijón by building a giant jigsaw puzzle.
La V Villa Maravilla is a Children’s Fair held at the Salón del Libro Iberoamericano de Gijón, from 5-8 December. It offers many options for playing games and having fun. OtoñodeCuentoenelHuerto also continues with its children’s programme and on 11 December it is organising a magic – clown show; 11 December is also the date chosen for the event ConocelasavesdelJardín (Name the birds in your garden), a free guided tour of the Botanical Gardens of Gijón, in which you can learn to know and identify more than 90 species of birds which live and nest in this park.
The workshop programmes of Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura also include TallerenBuscadelteatroPerdido (In search of the lost theatre workshop) on 10 December, and TallerEnlaPieldeundinosaurio (In the skin of a dinosaur workshop) on 17 December.
The Aquatic Christmas at Gijón Aquarium is also another good option for spending leisure time, with activities for children aged between 6-12 years, and an excellent and amusing opportunity to learn about marine wildlife. Find out about the times and prices.
